Pinball is back!!

It started as a very hazy and humid day aboard the Granite State. We were very thankful to get offshore hoping to find cooler weather and we did. In the morning we found a total of 9 Minke whales, 6 Fin whales, 3 Humpback whales, and a harbor seal. We had a couple of nice looks at the Fin whales before moving on to see who our Humpback whale friends were. We found Tigris and Satula and enjoyed some close encounters with both whales. It was a fabulous morning and when we made it back to Rye, the heat made us thankful that we were heading back out to Jeffrey’s for a second time.

In the afternoon, we found a total of 4 Minke whales, 7 Fin whales, and 3 Humpbacks. There were more whales in the area, but with so many whales around, it made it difficult to look at every animal out there. For me, the highlights of the afternoon included finding our Fin whale friend, Fjord, and our Humpback friend, Pinball!! Yes, I said Pinball! Today was the first time she has been seen on the Ledge this season, and she looks great! She fed along the surface showing our passengers just how big a whale’s mouth is. I would like to thank all our passengers for coming out today! Everyday is really a new adventure out there and I hope you will join us soon.
