July 4 on the Atlantic Queen

Happy Independence Day!

We had a beautiful day out on the water today (any day on the water really is...).  We had a total of 2 fin whales (including our friend #0369, better known as Dingle) and 3 minkes, one of which came up right next to us!

The fin whales were swimming really erratically, but we eventually got some great looks. We also had a gorgeous adult northern gannet - rare to see this time of year!

Then we went exploring and saw Dingle (I think) again on the way home!
