A Dolphin day on the Atlantic Queen

We didn't have to travel as far today as in days past, we only had to travel just over 20 miles, which for us was a real treat since some of our trips have brought us to 30 miles off shore. Our captain found us these Atlantic White Sided Dolphin, the pod was about 20-25 animals. Within the pod were some very small calves. Full grown they are about 9ft long and weigh in about 500 lbs. The calves were born this summer and at birth are 3.5 feet and weigh 75lbs. Our Fin whales were staying down for 15 minute plus dives making it very difficult to stay with them. Thank you to our passengers today who were thrilled to see our small toothed whales today.
