Prince of Whales August 21

Another great day of weather and whales on the ledge today.  Our first stop brought us to a very shy minke whale, we were not able to get great looks so we pressed on.  In the distance we saw a blow and then a fluke,it was Ebony the humpback whale!

I have not seen Ebony since July 12th, which proves the point that all  of our whales will travel all through The Gulf of Maine to find food, after all that is why they are here.  Ebony stayed close by only taking about 3 to 4 minute dives and she mad me jump as she popped up right next to us!

Congratulations to Jeremy from Dracut,Ma who won our raffle today,"Owl" the humpback whale.
