Monday July 12 on The Atlantic Queen

Today started out quite foggy in Rye Harbor, but we headed out anyway with reports it was just patchy once you got beyond The Isles of Shoals. The report was right on! Once we headed toward the Shoals the fog lifted and the sun was bright. Our captain decided to head south to explore. Things were not looking so good for us and the time was flying by. Our friends on the Granite State gave us a call they had a few blows so we headed in there direction. At this point we were over 20 miles from Rye Harbor. Our captain was adamant about not disappointing our passengers and working as hard as we could to find whales. It finally paid off and we saw a mom calf Humpback pair. This left us just a minute to get a look at this pair and then head home. It was worth it as it's so exciting to see a mom with her new healthy calf! Thank you to all our passengers for there patience and there understanding of whales in there natural habitat doing what they do best, searching for food!
