Monday August 2 on The atlantic Queen

Another long trip today but it turned out to be well worth it. We had a huge Fin Whale today that stayed along side of us, it was so close I was able to keep track of it from the fly bridge. We got really nice looks at the second largest whale in the world! Then just a short distance away there was a blow from a juvenile Humpback whale. I was thrilled to see both these animals so close together. Our trips have been long but once we are on theses endangered animals in there natural habitat it reminds us of the vastness of the ocean and personally spending any time with whales right by us undisturbed by other vessels is amazing. As we headed for home mother nature showed us her potential angry side, the clouds were thick with rain but we were able to dodge the rain!
