Prince of Whales July 18

WHAT A DAY!!  We left Newburyport not sure what mother nature would send our way,  it turns out she was quite nice to us.  A few sprinkles on the way out and some dark clouds but other than that cool breezes and flat calm sea's.

Our first humpback of the day didn't show us it's tail fluke but we did see a damaged dorsal fin.
Unknown humpback with damaged dorsal

We left this humpback after a few looks and continued on our journey.

4 humpbacks spending some time together
As we moved on we saw the 4 humpbacks all in a perfect row, it was Nile, Valley, Koho, and Barb!  Nile and Valley are females and Barb and Koho are males!  Perhaps a double date out ton the ledge today?
Koho and Vally
The 4 split up and we spent time with Koho and Valley.  Even as my intern Erich had told our passengers breaches are very rare, Valley breached!  You just never know!

Congratulation to Donna and her husband of Florida who won our raffle today "Owl" the humpback whale!  They also celebrated 30 years of marriage today, we hope you have many more!
